Connecting Through Creativity

During this time of change and uneasiness, we believe connection is more important than ever. Without our normal freedoms to do so,we are forced to find new ways to connect – whether it’s with your neighbourhood or community, with new technologies, with the environment around you, or even within your own family or self.

We challenged young people across Western Australia to get creative using a method
of visual storytelling to explore the topic of CONNECTIVITY during the global
COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

We received entries from across the State in the form of painting, sculpture, video, collage and drawing with each artist taking a creative and unique approach. It was a tough decision for our judges but we are thrilled to share our four winners with you.

Congratulations to Sophia Levey (8) from Floreat, Liam Kitson (11) from Yakamia, Dante Crean (12) from Chidlow, and Amber Wilkinson (15) from Yakamia! See their incredible winning works and hear the stories behind them over at the Blog.
