With the recent changes in COVID-19 regulations, we have decided in the interest of the community’s health, safety, and ability to participate, to move Scribblers Festival’s Family Weekend from 8-9 May to 29-30 May 2021 at Subiaco Arts Centre. We look forward to seeing you there!

We recommend booking your tickets online before attending the Festival. However, tickets can be booked on the day on your mobile, or at the Box Office. We expect the sessions to be busy, so get in quick! Please arrive to the venue at least 10 mins prior to the session commencement to allow time to scan your ticket and be seated.

Free Events

Drop-in activities are FREE and located in and around Subiaco Arts Centre. Bookings are not required. Festival sessions are FREE but due to COVID-19 restrictions bookings are required for the Main Auditorium and The Studio. To book, go to our Interactive Program.

Paid Events

Our weekend creative workshops are $20/ticket and must be booked in advance. To book, visit our Interactive Program.


BY TRAIN: We suggest catching the train to Scribblers Festival as we are a short walk from Daglish (8-10 minutes) and Subiaco (10- 12 minutes) Stations. Trains run regularly on the Fremantle line. Visit for more information.

BY BUS: There are many bus stops around the Subiaco Arts Centre and surrounding streets. Visit for more information.

BY CAR: FREE timed street parking is available throughout the streets surrounding Subiaco Arts Centre. Please read parking signs carefully as restrictions may apply.

Food & Drink

Visit one of our on site food vendors, or visit Subiaco Arts Centre’s resident coffee shop, Hole In The Wall, for a bite to eat or a drink to sip! Come early Sunday morning for our annual Mother’s Day pop-up and enjoy a baked treat with Mum or Nan!


Our bookshop partner, Boffins Books, will have a pop-up Festival Bookshop open all weekend! Visit the bookshop for a browse, and meet Festival Guests after their sessions for an opportunity to have your book signed.


Health & Safety

All current government guidelines will be adhered to for the duration of the Festival event to keep ouraudiences as safe as possible. We ask that you follow COVID safe practices when attending Scribblers Festival;
log in to SafeWA as you enter the Festival site, wash your hands regularly, maintain safe physical distancing and stay home if you are feeling unwell.


Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all Festival events unless otherwise stated. Scribblers Festival maintains a Child Protection Policy but we cannot take responsibility for wandering children. Lost children will be taken to the Information Point outside Subiaco Arts Centre. If you have found a lost child, or are missing a child, please notify a staff member as soon as possible.
