Celebrate the magic of storytelling

13 - 18 September 2022

Scribblers Festival aims to instill the importance of books and imagination in children's lives and inspire families to weave creativity into the everyday. Our Family Weekend (17 - 18 Sept) is a glorious, fun filled celebration of everyday magic to help spark the inner wonder in all of us.

Updated Schools Program is HERE!

Our Schools Program brings together 21 of Australia's most creative, imaginative and entertaining writers and illustrators, over four action-packed days (13 - 16 Sept), to inspire school children of all ages and show how stories can help them learn more about themselves and the world they live in.

What’s happening at Scribblers HQ?

**IMPORTANT UPDATE**
Due to recent COVID-19 regulations in WA, we have made the hard decision to postpone Scribblers Festival. The Schools Program will now be held 24-28 May 2021 at Subiaco Arts Centre and 31 May-1 June at The Regal Theatre. Our Family Weekend will be 29-30 May at Subiaco Arts Centre.

We are working hard to confirm the impacts this has on our programming schedule. We aim to keep the sessions as close to the current program as possible for easy transition to your child's age, though please note that some guest creatives may change due to availability and travel restrictions. We will advise of any programming changes as soon as we are able on our Interactive Program, emails, and social media channels - @scribblersfest on Instagram and Facebook.

Be sure to check out RELICS: Bricks of the New World at The Goods Shed in Claremont, an immersive exhibition by LEGO Masters Series 2 Winners Jackson Harvey and Alex Towler, which is still on display until 30 May 2021. With special offerings for schools, a free activity Workbook for every kid who enters, and some virtual treats available online, it is storytelling that is truly out of this world.

And don't miss the exhibition extension, Subiaco Street RELICS, which will now take place 24 May-20 June 2021 across Subiaco. Download your map here!‍
