88th Street

In the West End of The Goods Shed lies the arts district of 88th Street. Roll up, roll up! Have a closer look at the illusionists, actors, musicians and other performers who call this honky-tonk piano home, sweet home. The bright lights of broadway beckon, but tonight they're noticeably subdued. Regardless, the show must go on!

Facts & (non Mini) Figures

  • Constructed using ~31,000 LEGO pieces.
  • The modern piano was first invented by Bartolomew Cristofori in Italy around 1700.
  • Whilst pianos are stringed instruments, you will find them within the percussion section of a symphony orchestra because a piano’s sound is produced by the hammers that hit its strings.
  • The fear of music is called Melophobia. What word do you think that comes from?
