Freon Station

It’s cold work out on Freon Station but someone’s got to do it. Don’t worry, the Minfigs in the great Arctic Rectangle have plenty to keep them occupied. Theirs is a live-off the land type philosophy. They enjoy equal parts work and play, as well as the spoils of nature’s abundance. How long do you think that carrot’s been in the crisper for?

Facts & (non Mini) Figures

  • Constructed using ~22,000 LEGO pieces.
  • One third of the food produced globally is wasted.
  • Almost half of all fruit and vegetables grown are never eaten.
  • It takes 25 years for a head of lettuce to breakdown in landfill.
  • Reducing food waste is one of the most effective ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Food for Thought

The Minifigs on Freon Station are mining minerals from forgotten food. What type of foods should they focus on to stay in tip-top shape and why?

This might be the future, but can you spot a reference to more prehistoric times on Freon Station?
